Top 10 Iconic Vehicles of the 21st Century

The results from a new research showed that the Coca-Cola truck is deemed as the 21st century’s most iconic vehicle according to the Brits. An online courier quote comparison site released the top ten iconic vehicles in a list, and they also found out that the A-Team van and also the Batmobile are included in the list’s top three.

The new research was conducted for iconic vehicles from cinema screens and TV shows. It was voted by the British community. The Coca-Cola truck came first in the list having 38% of the votes followed second by the A-Team van then the Batmobile on third.

The survey conducted by, an online courier quote comparison site, polled British adults aged 18 or older. It was evenly split between female and male respondents adding up to 2,091 respondents.

The respondents were first asked to list all the vehicles which they thought were the most iconic vehicles in the 21st century with inspiration from cinema screens and TV shows.

The top ten from the survey provided by respondents are as follows:

  1. Coca-Cola Truck – 38%
  2. Batmobile – 31%
  3. A-Team Van – 27%
  4. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – 26%
  5. Aston Martin DB5 (James Bond Skyfall) – 21%
  6. Real Life Mystery Machine (Scooby Doo) – 18%%
  7. Ecto-1 (Ghostbusters) – 14%
  8. Love Bug (Herbie) – 13%
  9. Gran Torino (Starsky & Hutch) – 11%
  10. Turtles Van – 10%

In addition to the popular responses, other answers to take note of are Lightning McQueen from Cars at 5%, Santa’s sleigh at 4% and Cinderella’s carriage at 2%.’s Nick Clarkson expressed how he found the survey as really fun to conduct and how it was great to sort through the answers to reveal which vehicles are in the top ten of the most iconic vehicles of the century.

He added that with the Coca-Cola trucks visiting the towns around the UK soon, they will have the opportunity to see in real life the most iconic vehicle voted by the UK. And as a nation, the festive spirit is clearly upon the Brits early this year especially for those that voted Santa’s sleigh.
